My name is Kadi Jatta. I'm a London-based Finnish-Gambian photographer and artist. I studied fashion photography and creative computing at the University of the Arts London, graduating in 2024. Since then, I have worked in London as an independent photographer, artist, and digital imaging technician.
As a portrait and still life photographer, the majority of my practice explores contemporary Afro-European and African diasporic identities through image-making, creative writing, and autoethnographic approaches such as self-portraiture. In addition, I'm interested in conceptual, sentiment evoking product photography.
I often pull stories from my extended community, aiming to highlight the nuances of our experiences as people embodying opposites or multitudes — places, ways of being, and cultural heritages, all at once.
